You will need
450 dried Chickpeas, soaked.
2 tbsp Tahini
1/2 onion
1 Tbs garlic powder
1 Tbs dried parsley
1 Tbs chopped cilantro
1 Tbsp cumin
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 ts himalaya salt
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
20g chickpea flour
20g walnut flour
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C. Falafel are traditionally deep-fried but I prefer the baked option for it is healthier
Place the onion in the bowl. Mix 4sec/ Speed 4
Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Mix 4sec/ Speed 4
If not finely chopped, repeat
Add remaining ingredients (apart from chickpea/oat flour). Mix 3sec/ Speed 10. Repeat twice.
Meanwhile mix chickpea flour and oat flour into a bowl
Shape small balls and roll the balls in the mix (chickpea/walnut) flour
Place on a baking tray already covered with parchment paper
Spray EVOO and bake for 10min until golden
Turn the balls. Spray EVOO and bake for 10min until golden
Serve immediately
